Horseback Riding

Horseback riding in Marinette County offers a variety of landscapes on over 35 miles of trails. From dense forests, to majestic bluffs, you will find both beauty and wildlife by horseback.

There are no designated horseback riding trails located in Marinette County at this time, however, the Peshtigo River State Forest is open to these activities for 3 seasons of the year. The snowmobile trails and angler access roads are open to equestrian riders during the spring, summer and fall months. During winter, these trails are designated for snowmobile usage only.

In addition to the Peshtigo River State Forest, there are numerous volunteer trails throughout the county. These trails are well marked sandy roads and most prohibit the use of ATV's.
